Bringing the sky down to Earth
'An Introduction to Astrology'
Free Web+Teleconferences

Do you take one look at the weird squiggles on a birth chart and think it's all gobbledegook?

Do you want to be able to find your way around the birth charts that you see on websites like this one, and in books and magazines?

Are you interested in astrology but feel a bit lost about where to begin and wish you could have someone talk you through the basics?

And would you like this for free?

Then this conference is for you.

Aims of the conference

For absolute beginners as well as those who have already started learning about astrology but who want to go over the basics again, this 1-hour web+teleconference will give you the introduction you need.

It'll be fully audio-visual with animations, diagrams, and friendly, plain language discussion to bring the subject alive and make it easy and enjoyable to absorb.
  • Never be confused by all the squiggles ever again!
  • See where a birth chart comes from
  • Be able to find your way around a chart wheel
  • Get a handle on the basic lingo common in astrology websites, books, and magazines
  • Understand how interpretations are put together, and learn the basics of what everything means
  • Know where to go and what you need to get your chart calculated for free
  • Hear about what astrology is and isn't, what it's good for and what it's not so good at doing
  • Be familiar with where astrology came from (don't worry, the really boring history won't be mentioned!)
You'll dial into a teleconference for the audio, at the same time as using your computer and internet connection to be present in the webconference for the visuals.

Full notes will be provided, and for everyone attending the full hour there's a free follow-up one-to-one session about your chart.

What you need to be able to attend

You'll need:-
  • A telephone
  • A high-speed internet connection (dial-up is too slow). You can check your bandwidth here.
  • To be able to access your telephone line and your internet connection simultaneously
  • A compatible browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher / Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher / Apple Safari 2 & 3) - with Flashplayer 9.0 or higher enabled (you can test to see if you have Flashplayer 9.0 or higher here)
  • Any pop-up blockers and flash blockers turned off when logging into and participating in the webconference
How many spaces are there?

There'll be a maximum of 12 people on each conference.

How much does it cost?

Attending is completely free, however you'll pay your phone company for the cost of your telephone call to dial into the teleconference.

There are various access numbers available: there'll be one in the USA, one in the UK, and also at least one in another European country. You can dial whichever one is cheapest for you.

The numbers are, as far as is known, standard landline telephone numbers, but obviously you'll be able to check with your phone company beforehand. The specific numbers will be sent to you upon registration.

Free one-to-one session for everyone who attends

Everyone who attends a group web+teleconference will be entitled to a free follow-up 15-minute one-to-one session via telephone+webconference.

These are entirely optional, and will be arranged at mutual convenience.

The purpose of the one-to-one session is two-fold:-

(a) for you to become thoroughly acquainted with the structure of your chart, what is where, what aspect patterns you have, what your chart shaping is, and so on - to make your chart yours

(b) for you to ask any questions you've thought of since the group call, or that you didn't want to ask in the group, or that there wasn't time to answer during the hour.

(Please note that this session won't involve interpreting your chart.)
